'Stranger Things' Season 2 Premiere Date News, Spoilers: Nancy, Steve & Jonathan Caught In A Love Triangle?

A new love triangle that will unfold in the upcoming season of "Stranger Things" will reportedly offer a whole new level of crazy for fans.

According to reports, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown confirmed that fans should get ready for a new romantic storyline next season. In the series, Harbour and Brown portray Chief Hopper and Eleven, respectively. Both actors confirmed the news based on the scripts that they had received for the upcoming season.

"Stranger Things" season 2 presents four major storylines, the most interesting of which is the budding love triangle between and among Nancy, Steve and Jonathan.

It can be recalled that the first season saw Nancy and Steve being so close with each other. On the other hand, Jonathan was portrayed as a withdrawn person. However, next season will follow Jonathan as he makes his move towards Nancy, leading to a love triangle among them.

Eleven will still be part of "Stranger Things" season 2 and will continue to love Eggo waffles in the series.  The sad news, however, is that Barbara, portrayed by Shannon Purser, will no longer return for the upcoming season. In the previous season, the character died during a pool party held at Steve's place. According to reports, the upcoming season will see how the other characters seek justice for her death.

Meanwhile, new characters are expected to join the show next season, including skateboard rider Max, who is also Billy's sister. Billy, on the other hand, is the male version of Max. Both characters are said to play important roles in the development of the story of season 2.

"Stranger Things" season 2 returns next year on Netflix.
