Fans waiting on any news for "Steven Universe" season 4 release date may have to hold their collective breaths some more since there's no word yet from the producers on the show and Cartoon Network on when it is coming out.

The "Steven Universe" debuted on the Cartoon Network in November 2013, and quickly developed almost a cult following due to its whimsical and humor that borders on the dark, which makes it appealing to adults as well.

When episodes stopped airing, fans were left wondering if the show is also headed to cancellation following the announcement that "Adventure Time" is nearing its end.

According to Waitwithus, the "Steven Universe" season 4 and season 5 have already been confirmed. Unfortunately, there's no news on the exact release date.

The good news is "Steven Universe" season 4 is not cancelled, at least based on the teaser by Cartoon Network for an episode titled "Gem Harvest."

Back in May, Newsrama reported teased that fans should wait for the "Steven Universe" season 4 release date as the animated shorts are indeed coming back to Cartoon Network.

Writer Rebecca Sugar hinted that Steven is growing up and his world is expanding.

"In the beginning he was more self-centered only because he didn't know what was going on around him, and now he's just drowning in everyone else's problems," she said. "He has to grow into this huge world he's uncovering, that'll really be when he starts growing."
