It won't be long before "Steven Universe" season 3 comes back with its brand new episode on Cartoon Network, and it's going to be entirely musical.

This was revealed by series creator Rebecca Sugar, who also noted the possibility that Peridot will fuse with another gem.

According to Sugar, music plays a crucial role in the series as it usually dictates what should and should not be incorporated in each episode. She also revealed that in coming up with an episode, writing the songs comes first before having them included in the storyboard later on.

Sugar added that the pilot episode of "Steven Universe" season 3 will feature a total of seven songs, which will be played within a span of 11 minutes. The voice artist behind Peridot's character, Rabara, is also set to do a tap dance in the same episode.

"There's a scene with tap dancing, and when you hear it it's actually Shelby dancing," she revealed.

Since dancing leads to fusion, Peridot's fusing with another gem is likely to happen in the upcoming episode. It can be remembered that in the episode titled "Log Date," Peridot also almost fused with Garnet because of its musical element.

Meanwhile, the epic love story of Ruby and Sapphire will reportedly be translated into a children's book titled "The Answer." Their story will be retold by Sugar, while the graphics will be dealt with by artists Elle Michalka and Tiffany Ford.

"Steven Universe" season 3 is set to premiere on Cartoon Network this June.
