The 4^th episode of "Steven Universe" season 3 which aired last week followed Steven as he mediated between Lapis Lazuli and Peridot, whose relationship with each other has not improved even after all that they have been through.

Lapis was convinced that Peridot was the reason why she was stuck on Earth. To reconcile the two, Steven urged Peridot to have some compassion and show her soft and sweet side to Lapis, but Lapis was immovable. Peridot offered a peace offering--the better side of the barn--but Lapis did not accept her offer and told her that things will never be fine between them. Thinking that Lapis might already be missing the water, Peridot also dug a small lake for the other gem. However, Lapis told her that she was stuck under the ocean for a long time so she was not really missing the water.

What made the previous episode interesting was the transformation of Peridot from a semi-villain to a humble gem. However, Lapis was firm that she would not buy her transformation.

In this week's episode, the Crystal Gems will have an encounter with a team of Rubies sent by Yellow Diamond from Homeworld. As more than one Ruby emerge from the spaceship, Steven and the Crystal Gems will try to hide themselves, while Peridot will claim that the Rubies are after her. She will also give Yellow Diamond a cheap shot by calling her a derogatory name and unabashedly insulting her.
