Steven Spielberg News, Rumors: Director Interested in Taking on 'Indiana Jones' Reboot with Chris Pratt

In development news for the recently announced 'Indiana Jones' reboot, it has been reported that Steven Spielberg is looking to direct the project.

It was earlier reported that the iconic director wanted actor Chris Pratt to helm the reboot as Indiana Jones, but it now seems like Spielberg might go hands-on with the movie.

Spielberg has in fact directed the first four movies within the franchise with its original star, Harrison Ford.

"Word from Spielberg's camp is that it's too early to determine what will happen because there is no script yet and they are just getting going. It makes a lot of sense though, as Guardians Of The Galaxy star Pratt was Spielberg's hand-picked choice to be the star of Jurassic World, the first new film in that series in 14 years, which Universal releases June 12. Stay tuned," writes Deadline.

The comical 'Parks and Recreation' actor has made quite the name for himself in the action-adventure genre. Fans are interested to see what he can do in this role under Spielberg's guidance.

Nothing has yet been confirmed for either parties, and the reboot is currently without a release date.
