Stephen Collins Dead? Death Hoax Sparked - False Alarm Suicide News for '7th Heaven' Actor Amid Molestation Allegations

Police have reportedly responded to a false alarm concerning '7th Heaven' actor Stephen Collins and a gunshot that allegedly came from inside his home in Tarzana, California. The actor has been in the news lately for allegedly confessing that he had molested several young girls in the past.

After an audio tape was released of Stephen Collins allegedly confessing that he has committed these sex crimes, there has only been silence from his side, as he's keeping quiet about the controversy.

However, reports say one of Collins' neighbors, former 'Baywatch' star Donna De'Errico, reportedly heard a gunshot coming from his home and immediately called the police for help for fear that the actor might have committed suicide.

D'Errico even tweeted "That guy from 7th Heaven lives right around the corner from me & just shot himself a few minutes ago."

However, LAPD did not confirm a gunshot or a suicide. The police stated that the gunshot was indeed a false alarm.

Daily Mail reports that a member of the media mistakenly identified a "loud pop" he heard as a gunshot fired in Collins' house.

The '7th Heaven' actor allegedly admitted multiple acts of child molestation of girls ages 10 to 13 during a tape recording during his marriage therapy session.

On a side note, Faye Grant, Collins' estranged wife claimed that he was indeed a pedophile-that he used his popularity to "prey on underage girls" and "engender the trust of the families of the children he molested."

Grant, who revealed that she was "sickened" by the allegations thrown at his husband, also stated that while she was still pregnant, allegedly, Collins shared incestuous thoughts about their only child.

According to Grant, although Collins was previously treated for sex addiction; he refused to seek help for his devious thoughts towards children.

Meanwhile, Collins' career went tumbling down after the allegations. He resigned from his position on the Screen Actors Guild board and was subsequently removed from the upcoming comedy film 'Ted 2'.
