Steam Summer Sale 2016 News: Start Date Leaked By Reddit User?; Valve Yet To Confirm June 23 Kickoff
Talks have been going around that Steam Summer Sale 2016 is happening next month, and gamers are all thrilled to grab good buys already.
Though it was confirmed by digital distribution platform Steam that the summer sale is happening soon, it has not yet disclosed the exact date when it will happen. Just recently, however, a Reddit user allegedly leaked a private conversation involving Valve Corporation, which detailed the schedule of Steam Summer Sale 2016.
In the said conversation, Valve Corporation instructed not to disclose the details of the event on any site until the sale has officially begun. The screenshot of the conversation revealed that the event will kick off on June 23 and will end on July 4. It further revealed that its starting time will be 9:45 A.M. Pacific while its end time will be 10:00 P.M. Pacific.
The Reddit user who leaked the conversation, MrFreemanBBO, was the same user who broke the news about the schedule of last year's summer sale ahead of Valve's official disclosure. The user posted the details of Steam Summer Sale 2015 on Reddit, which matched the dates that the event organizer announced at a later date. He was also the one who gave the Steam community a heads up about the schedule of Summer Sale 2012 and Holiday Sale 2013.
As of this writing, Valve has not yet made any official announcement about the PC gaming bonanza but gamers are already preparing for it.
Steam Summer Sale 2016 offers gamers insanely huge discounts for PC titles.
