'State Of Decay 2' Releae Date, News Update: Sequel Becomes Bigger And Better?

The latest news on the "State of Decay 2" was shared by Undead Labs chief Jeff Strain, which only served to fan the fire of anticipation for some of the fans of the original title.

In an interview with IGN, he said that the sequel will take place in a bigger location.

The bad news, however, is that Strain is not giving any details yet on "State of Decay 2." He explained, "I know SoD fans are hungry for details on number and size of maps, regions, kilometers of playable area, etc, but we're not quite ready for that. For now, suffice it to say that the playable area is substantially larger than State of Decay"

"The millions of State of Decay players have been clear about what they want in State of Decay 2: A bigger, better State of Decay they can play with their friends," he further added. "We intend to deliver on all of those."

Meanwhile, Strain confirmed previous news reports that multiplayer mode in "State of Decay 2" would be much more interactive. That means your friends can mess up your community in other ways, although they can't exactly lay waste to your place through violent means.

"They can't go into your base and tear down all of your facilities. But there are plenty of ways that they can be a hostile force in your world because they can directly affect the simulation in meaningful ways," he said.

That means you really have to be careful about the multiplayer aspect because the sequel gives new meaning to the phrase, "choose your friends wisely."

"State of Decay 2" is to be released sometimes in 2017.
