'StarCraft' HD Remaster News: Blizzard Entertainment Going To Announce Project This Year?
"StarCraft" is set to receive an HD remaster and Blizzard Entertainment is rumored to unveil the title this year.
Blizzard Entertainment is currently working on the "StarCraft" HD remaster, iNews24 has learned, as cited by Kotaku. As per the publication, the studio is set to announce the title's HD iteration in September. It is believed that September is the logical timing for an announcement, as it coincides with the conclusion of the "StarCraft II" World Championship Series in Mexico.
It is also speculated that the forthcoming project is set to retain a similar gameplay to the original version, with its resolution and user interface (UI) set to see improvements. However, it is yet to be known whether the HD game remaster is set to feature 2D or 3D visuals. As per Ars Technica, there are no details on whether the title is bound to have only single-player or multiplayer mode or both.
For the time being, Blizzard Entertainment has yet to confirm details in this regard. Kotaku reportedly contacted the studio regarding the HD remaster, though the studio has not given a response.
"StarCraft" is now 18 years old, but it is still popular, as per PC Gamer. According to the publication, the title's HD remake perhaps even makes it more popular now than when the original game was just released.
Created by Chris Metzen, "StarCraft" is a military science fiction media franchise and it follows the cosmic tension for dominance between four species - the gold-like Xel'Naga creator, the perplexing Protoss, the insectoid Zerg, and the mobile Terrans.
