'StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops' Release Date, Gameplay Details: First Mission Pack To Be Available This Month? [TRAILER]
Developer Blizzard announced that the release date for the first mission pack of "Star Craft II: Nova Covert Ops" will be on Mar. 29.
In the game, the user will play November "Nova" Terra who will try to sneak past enemy territory to take an experimental, top secret technology.
According to Euro Gamer, players don't need to have the main game installed in order to play. Instead, they only need to install the starter edition for free.
As to the details of "Star Craft II: Nova Covert Ops," the website said, "They're storied missions that follow - to begin with - a Ghost operative called Nova. They take place in the Koprulu sector and involve beating the Defenders of Man and helping Emperor Mengsk. You'll need to infiltrate and uncover the baddies using all of your super sneaky abilities.
Apart from that description, there's not much details on "Star Craft II: Nova Covert Ops."
However, lead producer Tim Morten previously explained to Polygon the decision to give Nova her own title.
"Nova feels like a character who has so much story behind her that hasn't necessarily been exposed to players," he explained. "We wanted, when you see her in-game, to get that hint of backstory, and then blow that out and make it a focus on one character, more of a personal story."
Along with the release date, it was also announced that the "Star Craft: Nova Covert Ops" will cost $14.99 for the mission bundle.
The release date for the remaining two mission packs of "Star Craft: Nova Covert Ops" is expected to be before Dec. 1. Watch the trailer below.
