'Starbound' News, Review Roundup: Launch Trailer Unveiled, Climbs Gaming Charts?
Chucklefish Games' "Starbound 1.0" has been released and according to reports, the title has hyped fans and gamers.
"Starbound" has topped gaming charts, following its released on July 22, Hard Core Gamer has learned. As per the publication, this indicates fans and gamers' excitement on the title, which comes with a trailer that showcases what can be expected from the game. It is also revealed that the trailer covers the game's campaign mode, as well as some add-ons and changes.
Chucklefish's "Starbound 1.0" trailer invites fans and gamers to "explore a vast, procedurally generated universe," which includes forests, snow, tropics, and desert, among others.
"Starbound's" launch trailer also revealed that fans have to obtain resources for survival through logging and mining, among others. The title also features an inventory system, where players can track the items or resources that they have gathered in-game. Moreover, players strive to survive the game through creating their own houses for protection.
From one household as the basic unit of community, "Starbound" also allows its players to create their own "colony" and "bring them to life." This is evidenced by the interaction among the characters and their surroundings. However, players also have to be prepared for a larger challenge, the games' villains.
In a statement on the official "Star Bound" forum website, the title's developer said that they could not have made it that far without the support of their wonderful community.
Released on July 22, Chucklefish Games' "Starbound" can be played on Microsoft Windows, Linus, and OS X.
