'Star Wars Rebels' Season 3 News: Katee Sackoff Reprises Voice Role As Bo-Katan Kryze?
"Battlestar Galactica" actress Katee Sackoff returns in "Star Wars Rebels" season 3 to reprise her voice role in the Disney XD animated series. In the four episodes of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," the actress voiced the role of Bo-Katan Kryze, the trusted Death Watch lieutenant of Pre Vizsla and the sister of Mandalorian Duchess Satine Kryze.
The actress confirmed her return yesterday at the Oz-Comic-Con in Sydney, Australia.
"While this is definitely big news, it all makes sense based on what we learned about 'Rebels' season 3 at 'Star Wars' Celebration Europe," said "Star Wars" expert Lucas Siege.
"We know that Sabine and the Mandalorians have a major arc this season, and we also know that Sabine's family, the Wrens, are of House Vizsla - whom Bo-Katan has quite the history with. Seeing how these two Mandalorian women from rival families interact has the potential for a lot of fun, excitement, and some literally explosive results," he added.
Other returning voice cast members are Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex, Captain Gregor, and Commander Wolffe, Sam Witwer as Darth Maul, and David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus.
Voice actors who are new to the upcoming season are "Dr. Who's" Tom Baker as Bendu and "House of Cards'" Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
"Star Wars Rebels" season 3 premieres on September 24, 8:30 P.M. on Disney XD.
