'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 Finale Trailer Unveils Confrontation Between Anakin Skywalker And Ahsoka Tano

"Star Wars Rebels" Season 2 is about to reach its finale and the trailer looks like Anakin and Ahsoka dominated the snippet. Here's what to expect on the last episodes of the animated series to be aired on March 30.

The trailer had shown a battle between them, notes Den of Geek. Meanwhile, it also showed that Ahsoka will be facing Darth Vader, her former master which is now the evil Imperial enforcer.

The website added that actress Ashley Eckstein reprised her role as Ahsoka Tano, who is Anakin Skywalker's apprentice. Eckstein also came from the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" TV series and animated film.

As for the teaser, Screen Rant notes as well that the upcoming finale will be memorable to the viewers. By looking at the clip, the expected meeting between Ahsoka and Darth Vader is said to be "intense and emotional."

Prior to the teaser, showrunner Dave Filoni dropped some hints about Anakin and Ahsoka's confrontation. He said that the "very critical part of the protege's story" is yet to be told. Here is his full statement, as per another Screen Rant article:

"For now, I have to treat the characters with the experience that I know they had. So Ahsoka can't lie and say 'The last time I saw Anakin I walked away from him at the Jedi Temple.' No, no, no! Because she has seen him since then," he said.

"She was involved in a very important mission at the end of the Clone Wars. We've gotten to tell a very critical piece of her story, one that I wasn't sure we'd get to tell after The Clone Wars stopped," the showrunner added.

"Star Wars Rebels" Season 2 continues with the episode entitled "The Mystery of Chopper Base" on Wednesday at 9:30 on Disney XD. On the other hand, the two-part finale dubbed as "Twilight of the Apprentice" airs in small screens on March 30.
