'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Leaked Spoilers: Lucasfilm in 'Full Damage Control' Following Leaks

The latest news concerning the upcoming addition to the 'Star Wars' film franchise involves the leak of sensitive information that can potentially ruin the movie long before it even premieres. An insider working on 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' film has allegedly been posting spoilers that seem to be matching up with what's already known.

The person responsible for the leaks calls himself Spoiler Man, according to Mirror. Evidently, he or she has some sort of connection to the production of the film, as Spoiler Man has recently mentioned that security has been stepped up after the posts appeared online.

On a side note, Spoiler Man has been posting the spoilers on the web forum 4Chan, one of which read, "They practically interrogated a couple of us regarding possible leaks," as Lucasfilm has gone into full damage control."

Stepping into some of the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' spoilers that were revealed in the leaks, Mirror went ahead and compiled a summary.

In regards to the setting of 'Star Wars: Episode VII', "the film is set 30-40 years after the Battle of Endor, seen in Return of the Jedi. The Empire and New Republic are locked in a war of attrition, compared to the European theatre of the Second World War," writes Mirror.

Additional spoilers reveal what has happened to Luke Skywalker, and how he will appear in the upcoming film. Apparently, he has become somewhat of a recluse and will appear to be "yoda-like" as a trainer of Jedi.

Beyond that, Princess Leia will also appear in the movie, but this time she'll be the leader of the New Republic. What's more is that Spoiler Man revealed that she has been married to Han Solo, and the two of them have been constructing a new weapon on some "Scandinavian-esque cold and forsaken forest world."

More spoilers came in the form of blurbs that addressed some of the rumors and details fans of the series were looking to find out.

First and foremost, Benedict Cumberbatch will not be in the film whatsoever, and neither is Watto. The production team is looking to keep the runtime between 115-120 minutes, and there's a Star Destroyer in the opening scene.

Last but not least, fans should be on the lookout for "fake" spoilers that will be released by the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' production team to counter Spoiler Man's recently leaked information.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' premieres in theaters on December 18, 2015 (USA).
