The latest news, rumors and spoilers on "Star Wars: Episode 8" point to Kylo Ren being a double agent working with the Force.

A Reddit topic bolstered the theory that Luke Skywalker sent Kylo Ren to the First Order in order to spy for the Resistance. His fight with Rey also confirmed in fans minds that he held back because he knew who the latter is and what she means to the overall plan.

There were other news, rumors and spoilers that might point to Kylo Ren being a double agent to be revealed in "Star Wars: Episode 8." For instance, he hid the true location of uncle Luke Skywalker, for instance; or when he protested the use of the Starkiller to destroy the Resistance base, when that could have ended the war right there; or when he did not kill Finn.

At the end of Episode 7, Rey met Luke Skywalker (Mark Hammill) for the first time. Luke doesn't appear to be surprised at finding the young woman, who quickly learned to use the Force, in the middle of nowhere.

Either he already sensed her through the Force or the rumors and spoilers about Rey being Luke's real daughter are true, and will be revealed on "Star Wars: Episode 8."

Director JJ Abrams was asked to shed light on Rey's parentage and he said, "Rey's parents are not in Episode 7. So I can't possibly tell you who they are at this moment. But all I will say is that this is something that Rey thinks about, too."
