‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ Release Date, Game Update: Upcoming Title Won't Use Battlelog Support
'Star Wars: Battlefront' assistant producer, Jesper Nielsen, has announced that the new Star Wars game will not have Battlefield's online networking portal called Battlelog. The raving fans have been expecting it to be present since February, when news sprung out about Uprise, DICE's sister company's, participation in the development of 'Star Wars: Battlefront'.
Jesper Nielsen replied to fans Q & A on NeoGAF in which he had answered a query from 'Blooddimond' making sure if the Battlelog system would be part of the game as per an article written on GameRant.
"You should analyze news stories a bit more carefully," Nielsen replies, "That article is based on the fact that the Uprise website mentions that Uprise is working on Star Wars Battlefront. While Uprise has been doing Battlelog, does that automatically mean that we will do Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront?"
"No, it won't. That can only be an assumption, and I can tell you, no, there won't be Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront."
To support this matter, DICE has taken it to Reddit and posted that the team is building an online system from scratch.
'Star Wars: Battlefront' is expected to be out on the market on November 17 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. A recent trailer shows high-flying battle scenes in different locations in the Star Wars universe. Although according to EA Star Wars as reply to a question about space battles on Twitter, "We're focusing on air battles and dogfights that take place on the vistas of our planets rather than space."
It is still largely interesting as the game is pre-loaded with a DLC called "Battle of Jakku" which is something fans will find as one of the planets in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Furthermore, gamers can chose to be members of the good guys and the rebel forces which includes Boba Fett and Darth Vader as playable characters.
