'Star Wars: Battlefront' DLC News, May Update: Gameplay Issues Fixed; Free Trial For Game Started
Aside from new details on the "Star Wars Battlefront" May update, players have to adjust due to the game's downtime. Also, the free trial for the game started on May 4.
According to a "Star Wars Battlefront's" forum site, the May update for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One cover details like an health status bar above the enemies to let players see and know if a foe has an active charge card, resolving an issue wherein players become invincible after attempting to ride a vehicle, and performing a melee attack at the same time because a combat roll no longer breaks the animation, among others.
Players in the United States can also expect the game servers to go offline late at night on the release day, since the company reportedly preps the client-side release, according to Gotta Be Mobile. In line with this, it is revealed that it mildly deviates from the usual downtime to prepare more efficiently.
The said downtime starts at 7:00 AM UTC (12:00 AM PT/ 3:00 AM ET) for the PC, 9:00 AM UTC (1:00 AM PT/ 4:00 AM ET) for the PlayStation 4, and 11:00 PM UTC (2:00 AM PT/ 5:00 AM ET) for the Xbox One.
In other news, a free trial for "Star Wars Battlefront" starts on May 4, according to PC Gamer. As per the publication, the event is set to give chance to players to experience the gameplay with no charge for four hours. The four-hour limit is dependent to the overall playtime and it does not serve as a timer that starts ticking as the player stars the game.
According to the publication, the free trial also covers access to the entire base game, barring the Outer Rim DLC and other future expansions of the video game. It is also revealed that gamers who log in on Star Wars Day are set to receive 4444 in-game credits, along with a new Hutt Contract that is bound to give access to the health-booster Bacta Bomb Star Card.
Developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts, "Star Wars Battlefront" was initially released on Nov. 17, 2015.
