'Star Wars Battlefront 2' Release Date News Update: 2017 Premiere Is Confirmed
The "Star Wars Battlefront 2" release date has been confirmed to be sometime next year, although there's no exact day yet for one of the most anticipated games so far.
EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen had confirmed this during the recent conference call with financial analysts as he said the game will arrive "a year from now."
The first "Star Wars Battlefront" was widely received, although EA got a lot of backlash considering the number of paid DLCs.
As a response, EA announced that it would release more free downloadable content for the game, which include more storyline, maps and Star Cards. Of course, those who pay for the DLC will get more. This kind of business model is also expected in the sequel since DLCs have been a major cash cow for EA.
PCGamer expects the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" release date to be in November 2017, which would be the perfect time ahead of the holiday. Also, there's the fact that most of the major titles are launched at this time, such as the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" or "Battlefield 1."
However, there's another reason for November release date of "Star Wars Battlefront 2," as the developer hopes that it would generate enough buzz for the "Star Wars 8" in December 2017.
"We're working very hard on making sure that it's an extremely deep and engaging offering," he said.
Watch out for more details on the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" release date, which would be published here when they come along.
