'Star Trek' New TV Series News, Rumors: Is CBS Working on Rebooting the Franchise for TV?
There has been a lot of talk about a new 'Star Trek' TV series, but franchise fans are wondering whether or not that will materialize in the near future.
Christian Post reports that if latest reports published by Latino Review are to be believed, the 'Star Trek' series that witnessed its finest moments under Gene Roddenberry years ago, may eventually return to the small screen.
As far as the composition of the production team is concerned, there are rumors that some familiar names associated with the sci-fi movies, up until now, are among the people who will be considered.
People who feature on the list of probables include Bryan Singer, Robert Burnett, Christophe McQuarrie, and Geoffrey Thorne. All of them have been associated with successful movies and, hence, it should be interesting to see how they will be joining hands to deliver a zesty new Star Trek series that will be cherished by the contemporary USS Enterprise fans.
Except for the original Star Trek series, several fans might remember various attempts made to somehow renew the Star Trek legacy, including 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' and 'Star Trek Voyager.' As there have already been many revisions to render the voyages of the enterprise in some way or the other, it would certainly be interesting to see how the purported upcoming version would pan out.
Considering the above mentioned TV series titles, is it likely that the upcoming one will carry the much rumored 'Star Trek: Federation?' According to the report, this will, however, not be the first time that the fans will be hearing of the above mentioned title, as Star Trek Federation is actually an undeveloped spin-off produced by Singer.
However, if CBS succeeds in roping Singer, it is very likely that that 'Star Trek: Federation' could be the actual title for the highly anticipated Star Trek TV series.
For the time being, rumors regarding a Star Trek TV series may have opened eyes, but the actual deal will come when the people who would be behind it, as well as the celebrities who will comprise the crew, would be bound to put it a notch up.
