"Star Trek Beyond" will not be out in theaters until mid-year arrives. But fans cannot help but wonder what could the movie bring to the cinemas. According to the latest report, old characters will be returning for they will be essential to the movie plot.

Actor John Cho dropped a hint that this character (Hikaru Sulu) and his family might be back on the much-awaited science fiction film. "Sulu has a heartache for his little baby," quoted from Entertainment Online.

"[He] had brought his picture to his console, which technically, we've been saying, it's unprofessional. It's in the way of the buttons," the film star continued. Cho also added that there will be a huge revelation about Sulu's child but we have to wait until the movie's out.

We might still wait for the revelation, but Movie Pilot notes that Sulu's daughter will grow up to known as Demora. She is rumored to follow the footsteps of her father. She first appeared in 1994 film "Star Trek Generations."

As for the movie plot, "Star Trek Beyond" will show that effect of "homesickness" that swirls among the crew two years after they sailed deep into space. But aside from that, rumor has it the a new ship will be introduced.

Fans of the "Star Trek" movie franchise might be disappointed about the hearsay that U.S.S. Enterprise will be badly damage on the next film and a repair might not be possible. This rumor was based on TrekCore, as new official artworks hinted that the crew will board on a new starship dubbed as U.S.S. Franklin.

"Star Trek Beyond" is set to be released on July 22, 2016.
