'Star Citizen' News: Free To Play Available Until Oct. 30; 'Free Fly' Serves As An Extended Demo For Alpha Build
Cloud Imperium Games' "Star Citizen" is set to be free to play this October, as per reports.
In line with the space sim video game is the "Free Fly," Gear Nuke has learned. As per the publication, "Free Fly" serves as an extended demo for the game's Alpha build, which aims to provide players a chance to secure the full game.
It is added that players will be able to access a F7C-M Super Hornet and play the game with no limits, as per PC Gamer. The spacecraft is described as closest to the Military load-out, as it is legally possible for a Civilian model. Along with a promising firepower, it also has a passenger seat, which allows players to break battles and flight duties with another player.
As per the publication, players can access "Star Citizen" Fall 2016's "Free Fly" by creating or signing into an account. This allows them to use the promo code "FALL2016," which lets the download and play the game. More details can be viewed on Roberts Space Industries.
"Star Citizen" has previously provided free-fly events, according to Polygon. As per the publication, the who game is incomplete a quadruple years into a crowdfunded progress, which is approaching a total of $130 million.
Also, the game has released some modules or betas that gave the program deadlines, which have been delayed. As per Gear Nuke, the game's single player mode "Squadron 42" had been delayed due to issues like further development of AI logic.
Overall, players can access Cloud Imperium's "Star Citizen" for free until Oct. 30. Designed by Chris Roberts, the game was initially released for Linux and Microsoft Windows.
