'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water' Release Date News: Film Premieres February 6

The world's favorite underwater cartoon character SpongeBob, has its second movie up for release, on February 6, after almost a decade off the big screen.

After its first movie in 2004, 'The Spongebob Squarepants Movie', Paramount Pictures announced the second movie in July last year.

In the movie, SpongeBob goes on a quest to discover a stolen recipe that takes him to our dimension, our world, where he tangles with a pirate.

And with the release being just about a month away, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies have declared the first Monday of 2015 as "The Day of Positivity,' to celebrate the release of the movie.

To promote the movie, Paramount Pictures brought together the much celebrated singer Pharell Williams and his rock band N.E.R.D members Chad Hugo and Shay Haley to create a song for the movie, "Squeeze Me." The song was the band's first recording after their last song release in 2010.

Speaking about the recording, Pharell said, "We loved going into the studio to make music for this film. I am one of SpongeBob's biggest fans"”can't wait for everyone to hear the songs," according to The Source.

N.E.R.D. created three new songs for the movie. The two others, which are soon to be released, are "Patrick Star" and "Sandy Squirrel," named for two of SpongeBob series most loved characters.

Band member Hugo, speaking to Variety Magazine, said, "We're trying not to think too much in a cartoon sense, but more just like a psychedelic, otherworldy type of thing. If you want to draw a parallel, maybe think of what the Beatles did with "Yellow Submarine'."

On the cast, we have Seth Gree, Antonio Banderas, Clancy Brown, Jesica Ahlberg and Tom Kenny giving the voice for Spongebob Squarepants.
