Spider-Man New Movie News, Rumors: Webslinger to Feature in Upcoming 'Captain America: Civil War' Film
Marvel fans are in total jubilation with the recent news of Spider-Man being brought back to the rightful arms of the comic book company.
This inevitably means a lot for the franchise and Marvel's Cinematic Universe as a whole.
First and foremost, the iconic superhero has been confirmed to make his first appearance back in 'Captain America: Civil War'.
"The two companies said late Monday that Spider-Man will appear in an upcoming Disney-produced Marvel super-heroes movie; that movie is 2016's 'Captain America: Civil War'," writes Wall Street Journal.
This adds another huge feature character to the already long list of superheroes set to appear in the film. Spider-Man however plays a huge role in the comic book adaptation.
The following year is when fans will see the web-slinger in his own solo film, with a new casting of the character.
News outlets has suggested that Marvel is looking to cast young for a new actor, as they plan for him to grow into the character over the coming years. This will also allow Spider-Man to be fairly distinguishable from the rest of The Avengers.
"A number of actors already have been mentioned as being considered for the role, including 'The Maze Runner' and 'Teen Wolf's' Dylan O'Brien and the 'Percy Jackson' franchise's Logan Lerman. Lerman most recently co-starred in Sony's 'Fury', writes Variety.
This iteration of the superhero will be a bit younger than the Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield versions. The new solo film will explore a younger Peter Parker's life and his ability to juggle his super-powers and relationships.
Fans can expect to see the hero in his new solo flick in 2017.
