‘Spider-Man’ Cast News: Captain America To Join The Powercast?

Robert Downey, Jr. may have revealed more than he intended in his "Jimmy Kimmel Live" interview for upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War." The "Avengers" actor might have given us some juicy hints about the cast to appear in Marvel Studio's movie "Spider-Man."

Along with fellow actor Chris Evans, Downey introduced the first-ever trailer for the upcoming "Captain America" movie on the show. Reminiscing some off-cam moments, Downey spoke about Atlanta's humidity worsened by the fierce July heat.

He also mentioned shipping some furniture from home to his set location. Then he said to Evans, "We are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I."

The one-liner statement triggered excitement and curiosity among fans. Which film will they be shooting for?

"Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled for release in 2018, so it's too early for Downey to be preparing for it. The only Marvel Studious films set to tape in Atlanta are "Spider-Man" and the "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel.

Director James Gun has been reportedly firm in keeping "Guardians" away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for a while. The director said in 2014 that Star-Lord and his team are their own thing in their own film, unlike "Captain America" and "Thor" who support "Avengers."

With "Guardians" out of the picture, fans are suspecting "Spider-Man" to be Downey's next Atlanta movie.

In February, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that his company and Sony Pictures are cooking up more MCU and Spider-Man collaborations. So is it "Avengers" plus "Bat-Man?"

Oh well, since Peter Parker will already be present in "Captain America: Civil War," it's unlikely for the mid-2017 standalone "Spider-Man" to include "Captain America."

Does that mean "Spider-Man" will reciprocate by including "The Avengers" in its upcoming film? We can only wait to find out, Christian Post reports.
