'Spectre' Movie Update, Cast News: Monica Bellucci to Play 'Bond Woman', Production Team Films in Italy
The upcoming 24th installment of the James Bond franchise starring Daniel Craig is expected to set new records. For instance, the movie's production budget is said to be a whopping $300 million - something really incredible for any 007 film. In addition, the upcoming movie will also feature the oldest Bond girl!
Christian Today reports that Monica Bellucci, the 50-year-old Italian actress and model, will be portraying the character of James Bond's love interest.
An earlier report in the Telegraph claimed that the plot for the upcoming 'James Bond' film will require the iconic agent looking back into his past. The article further said that an inexplicable message from the agent's past will make it necessary for him to embark on a journey to reveal the messy business of a malefic organization. Precisely speaking, it will be essential for Bond to discover the truth behind 'Spectre'.
The new movie, which has been dubbed as 'Spectre' is currently being filmed in Rome and reports say that Craig, Bellucci, as well as the other cast members and production crew are being spotted there regularly.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that luxury car maker Aston Martin has developed a brand-new, unique supercar named the DB10, which the British secret agent will be seen driving on the busy streets of Italy. In addition, Bond will drive various special luxury cars, such as a Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR, in addition to a Land Rover Defender Bog Foot.
According to Bellucci, she may be somewhat different when compared to the Bond girls in the previous movies of the franchise, but she certainly does not want to be called "old." Instead of being called "old," Bellucci said she would rather be called a "Bond woman" or a "Bond Lady." In the upcoming movie, the Italian actress plays the character of Lucia Sciarra.
Bellucci told Event magazine, "Compared to the Bond girls who have gone before me, I am so much more mature."
As of now, 'Spectre' is reported to hit the theaters in the United States on Nov. 6, 2015, while it will be released in the U.K. on Oct. 23.
