'Spectre' Movie News, Rumors: James Bond Teaser Poster Released for Upcoming Sony Film

Avid fans of 007 were excited to see an official teaser poster for the latest James Bond film on their Twitter feeds. Soon after that, Sony officially then released the poster for all Spectre fans.

The poster is simplistic with Daniel Craig, who plays Bond, sporting a tight black turtleneck sweater with a brown gun holster in tow. According to E!, the look resembles Roger Moore in Live and Let Die. He holds his sleek and deadly gun while staring down the cameras in what looks to be a bold faceoff. Across the actor's body is the film's title.

Spectre will be Craig's fourth film as the secret agent. Craig also starred as James Bond in 2006's Casino Royale, 2008's Quantum of Solace, and 2012's Skyfall. The last film is the highest grossing Bond flick ever made. Spectre is currently in production and marks the 24th Bond film to date.

The production crew has kept news about the film very tight-lipped until the studio released some footage about the location of one of the scenes. Set in Austria, production designer Denis Gassner said, "The thing that [director] Sam [Mendes] and I talked about was how we're gonna top Skyfall, and so it's gonna be Spectre, and so far it's a good start."

Spectre is an acronym for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. According to Movieweb, a cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover the organization. M, played by Ralph Fiennes, will battle to keep the secret service alive while Bond scours the globe, looking for the truth.

It is unknown if production has stopped shooting yet, but Spectre will premiere in theaters on November 6 of this year.
