Spain vs Netherlands Preview, Schedule, Live Stream Link: Football Match Kicks off Mar. 31

On Tuesday, Mar. 31st, there's going to be a matchup between two European heavyweights, although neither side has been close to being in top form. But despite Spain and the Netherlands still being in the process of rediscovering themselves, the international friendly still figures to be an interesting matchup.

The Oranje has had a paltry run at the 2016 European qualifiers, sporting a 2-2-1 record in their five matches so far, and just narrowly avoided dropping their third match thanks to a last-gasp equalizer at home against Turkey.

With their poor showing, they face a tough task to try and make ground behind the Czech Republic and Iceland in Group A to be able to book an automatic sot in the finals. They haven't been good since the World Cup in Brazil ended being just 2-4-1.

Against Spain, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will remain a threat to net a goal, but defensively is where the Dutch have been having issues. They have only been able to finish with a clean sheet once in their last seven international matches.

Spain, who infamously received a 5-1 trashing at the hands of the Oranje during the last World Cup (seen as the last match the Netherlands have played in top form), haven't been much better, going just 4-3 in their last seven games. The three losses have come at the hands of France, Germany, along with the shocker against Slovakia. They only managed to squeak by Ukraine Friday owing to a goal from Alvaro Morata.

But while the Spanish have been lacking in the fluidity they were once renowned for, they still manage to keep possession of the ball, and should bank on that fact to try and edge a struggling Dutch side.

The Spain versus Netherlands friendly is scheduled for kickoff at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 31. For a live stream link, click here.
