Southern Gospel music favorite, Guy Penrod, recently experienced chest pain due to a partial blockage in an artery, as he described in the personal statement on his social network page.

Yesterday, Guy Penrod underwent a procedure and had a stint put in, as mentioned in the statement.

Guy Penrod expressed, "All went well; I just need to take it easy for awhile." 

Penrod added, "My family and I are thankful for your prayers and good thoughts, and we look forward to seeing you on the road again very soon."

"I wanted to let my friends know that I am currently "in for repairs." After experiencing chest pain recently, my doctors discovered I had a partial blockage in an artery. This morning I underwent a procedure and had a stint put in. All went well; I just need to take it easy for awhile."
