Soul Train Awards 2014: 'Bad Boy' Rapper Mase Performs 'Feel So Good' in 1st TV Appearance Since Leaving Ministry as Pastor [WATCH HERE]
Rapper Mase hit the stage at the 2014 Soul Train Awards to perform his hit song, "Feel So Good" as part of the Kool & The Gang tribute performance, making his first televised appearance since leaving full time ministry as a senior pastor.
Mase is now known as being a rapper and pastor, but was once signed to P-Diddy's label Bad Boy where he skyrocketed into success. After much acclaim he announced that he found Jesus and left rap to go into ministry. The Harlem native began to pastor a church and gained a following, but has since left the ministry. Since then he has been criticized greatly for the content of his newer music with many pegging him a hypocrite.

Although many believe Mase has left the Christian faith because of his return to hip-hop, during a recent performance at the Legends of Bad Boy Concert held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA, he told the crowd his reasons for coming back to hip-hop.
"I wanna introduce you to somebody that kept me all this time," he said as he began to speak to the hundreds in attendance, "He told me he would give me this opportunity if he could trust me to do this here with you."
After performing music with adult content and contrary to what some would consider godly, he then proceeded to lead all the people in a prayer. "Tonight I make Jesus Christ, Lord and savior of my life, and if I die tonight I know I'll wake up in a better place," he said as every one repeated after him.

Mase's conflicting messages has many in the industry criticizing his recent comeback. "I'm very confused by what Mase is doing," Rapper Ja Rule admitted in an interview, "I don't know if that's cool or not. I wouldn't play with the Lord like that."
