Sony Xperia Z6 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Arriving In September, SnapDragon Processor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow Upgraded
Following the launch of Sony Xperia Z5, details have surfaced on the specs and release date of its successor, Sony Xperia Z6.
Sony Xperia Z6 is set to change its blocky look to a metallic finish, along with a curvier shape, which competes with the curved Apple's iPhone 7. According to Youth Health Mag, the upcoming device is also set to come in trendy colors and a slim frame.
According to PC Advisor, Sony Xperia Z6 will feature a full HD display on its 5.2-inch screen, along with a pressure-sensitive screen technology. However, the upcoming phone may not have a 4K resolution.
Aside from its appearance, Sony's Xperia Z6 is also going to have feature a fast-charging USB Type-C standard, along with Qualcomm's SnapDragon 820, which succeeds the SnapDragon 810. With such processor, it is assumed that Sony Xperia Z6 will be able to have boosted download speeds as well as a three-dimensional audio support.
The biometric sensor will be reintegrated to the phone;s power button while the fingerprint scanner is going to remain. The operating system will be the upgraded Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which adds new features to the phone, such as Android Pay and the battery-boosting Doze.
With the 20MP camera of its more recent predecessors, Sony Xperia Z6's camera features are yet to be revealed. According to Digital Spy, Sony Xperia Z6 is set to clash with Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Apple's iPhone 7 when they are released. The three companies are assumed to compete for primacy.
Overall, Sony Xperia Z6 is set to be released in September this year.
