Sony Xperia Z4v, an offshoot of the Japanese tech titan's Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ handsets, will soon be launched in the U.S. market via Verizon Wireless. In fact, Sony aims to offer the U.S. customers the best specs and features of both the handsets rolled into one in Xperia Z4v, which many consider to be an updated version of Sony Xperia Z3v released via Verizon last year.

Tech Radar reports that the working prototype of the smartphone suggests that Xperia Z4v may be released this summer. Moreover, the upcoming Sony handset is comparable to the "sharpest and most powerful" smartphones currently available in the U.S. According to the tech website, people who are expecting a direct translation of the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ handsets may be disappointed.

In terms of design, like the other smartphone from Sony, the Xperia Z4v will also not come with any major overhaul. Nevertheless, there will be minor, but appreciable tweaks and have a sleek body. The rounded edges of the device are made from matte-textured plastic, offering a smooth and pleasurable grip and hold. Although the device will not be as ostentatious as the aluminum-detailed Z3+, its design will be appreciated. As usual, the camera shutter button and the volume rocker as well as silver power controls of the handset are positioned on it right edge. A nanoSIM and a microSD can be inserted in a slot on the left side of the device.

Acording to the report, the Z4v measures 144 x 72 x 8.6mm (L X W X H) and weighs 160g. The device is somewhat heavier and thicker compared to its predecessor - the Xperia Z3+. Even the size has been increased by about 2 mm.

The front and rear of the Xperia Z4v are both covered with a sheet of tempered glass giving the device a premium look and feel. The phone comes with a primary 20.7MP rear camera. Although not much additional detail is available regarding the battery and processor, the device will run on Android OS and be available in white and black color options.
