Many tech consumers have been highly anticipating the release of Sony's new Xperia Z4, but the company has not yet graced spectator's with an official date.

The only thing that has given consumers any idea as to what they can expect is some reportedly leaked photos of the device's design by Twitter account @OnLeaks. Although none of these photos have been confirmed, so they currently lack validity.

"Sony was widely expected to launch the Xperia Z4 at the MWC 2015 trade show, but the company has decided to stick to annual upgrade cycle. This means Sony fans will have to wait until September for an official look at the handset, at the IFA show in Germany. Since the wait is stretched, leaked images should keep the anticipated crowd calm," writes International Business Times.

The leaked images suggest that Sony will be keeping the phone's signature sleek design. It also reveals a single port flap, but no logo on the back, possibly meaning it could be a test version of the phone.

There is currently no release date or official price listed for the device.
