Sony Xperia Z4 Leaks News, Rumors: OnLeaks Delivers Image & Specs of New Flagship Smartphone
Recently, OnLeaks revealed a host of leaked specs and an image of the Sony Xperia Z4. This time, the online leaks offer a clearer and more concrete picture of what the Japanese tech giant's upcoming flagship smartphone will be like.
According to Christian Post, the concept images posted by OnLeaks via Twitter recently revealed taht the Sony Xperia Z4 sports an OmniBalance design, similar to the one its predecessor, Xperia Z3. It also shows that the SIM card slot is positioned on the left side of the handset. Similar to the Xperia Z2, the upcoming flagship device also has small spaces both at the top and bottom.
An initial glimpse of the device would give an impression that the Xperia Z4 does not possess the water-resistant feature any more. Irrespective of the grade of its smartphones, Sony has always made waterproofing an important feature of its devices. Similarly, the charging dock pins of the Xperia Z4 do not come at the top left of the device, sheltered by a waterproof flake, but is now placed at the base of the device. All these changes, notwithstanding, Phandroid is of the view that the Xperia Z3 will still maintain its Ingress rating of IP65/68.
However, OnLeaks has maintained that the features of the upcoming smartphone are not yet final, as there may still be several changes in the design of the device. This is mainly because the leaked images are from one of Sony's initial attempts. However, it is apparent that Sony would make certain minor design changes in line with its trademark qualities.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena reports that the Sony Xperia Z4 may not be unveiled until IFA 2015, which is scheduled from Sept. 9 to 15 in Berlin. This is mainly owing to the fact that the tech firm may possibly want to keep away from releasing flagships every six months and would revert to annual launches.
According to rumors, the Sony Xperia Z4 may sport a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display, generating uber-crisp visuals set at 2560 x 1440 resolution and 565 ppi pixel density. The device is also expected to have a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, in addition to a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The handset will come in 32 GB and 64 GB variants and both will to be supported with a robust 4 GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor for outstanding power as well as performance.
