If an accidental leak in Sony's official website is to be believed, the Japanese tech manufacturer may release its Xperia Z4 tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2 to 5.

According to Christian Today, Sony accidentally publicized an official Xperia Lounge application on its site. However, the company was quick to pull it out, but only after some tech publications took screenshots of the webpage. In fact, Xperia Blog, which is dedicated to Sony's Xperia product line, posted a screenshot revealing a number of specs of the device. For instance, the accidentally posted leak shows that the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet will come with a 2K pixel resolution and faster processor.

Before it was pulled out, the post read, "Sony is now introducing the new Xperia Z4 Tablet: Sony's stunning 2K display combines with the latest ultra fast processor and industry leading battery performance delivers unrivaled entertainment in a lightweight premium."

In fact, the post also mentioned a date - March 3, 2015, giving rise to speculations that it could be the possible release date of the Xperia Z4 tablet. Incidentally, March 3, 2015 is the second day of the MWC 2015 trade show.

Earlier reports said that Sony would be releasing the Xperia Z4 tablet alongside its upcoming Xperia Z4 smartphone. There were rumors that Sony would launch a device with a 12-inch screen. Citing supply sources in December 2014, DigiTimes reported that the mass production of the upcoming tablet would begin soon.

Meanwhile, Chinese tech website PadNews has published a spec sheet of the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet listing the following details:

•  2.86 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm
•  6 GB RAM

•  Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system

According to reports, the Xperia Z4 tablet will carry a $1,000 price tag.
