Sony Xperia Z3 Neo Specs & Release Date Rumors: New Device Replaces Sony Xperia Z4?
Recently leaked pictures of a fourth generation Sony Xperia Z have been disputed by mobile phone leakster @vizileak saying that Sony has a different plan for the alleged flagship device and would be called Sony Xperia Z3 Neo instead of a Z4.
The tweet had garnered mixed comments if this could be pushed forward to another release date or if it is still expected to be unveiled on April 20 in Japan. The leakster had purported that a Z4 is indeed coming along but for a September release and that the device will have a metal frame body, a better looking power button and finger scan technology.
Furthermore, @vizileaks continued to tweet that Sony will be releasing a main flagship Q4 of this year. He then mentions that "flagship[s] never quietly launch". If this is true, then Sony would be having a major launch event just before the year ends for debutante device.
Recent images that were leaked for the alleged Sony Xperia Z4 was a result of a massive Sony hack that ensued after the Seth Rogen film "The Interview" was launched. The device was supposed to be marketed on the new James Bond movie Spectre, but had incurred a US $5 million loss for Daniel Craig for product placement, found on Wikileaks. About 170,000 emails and 30,000 documents from the incident were anonymously uploaded into the news leak encyclopedia which also includes movie and gaming deals from Sony and its clients.
If the 'Xperia Z4' is only replaced by the model name Xperia Z3 Neo, with model name E6553, tech rumors say that the device will still have a 5.2 screen sporting QHD or a 1080 pixel resolution protected by IP68 waterproofing. The insides are likely to be top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4 GB worth of RAM. And, finally, Sony's slated smartphone will have whooping a 20.7 MP camera.
