'Sons of Anarchy' New Prequel Series Rumors: Creator Kurt Sutter Confirms SAMCRO Origin Story

As the final season of 'Sons of Anarchy' is finishing up, fans of SAMCRO are becoming depressed as their favorite motorcycle club will no longer appear in new episodes after the Season 7 finale. However, show creator, Kurt Sutter, who also created 'The Wire', has been teasing about a new prequel miniseries and a possible book.

On a side note, 'Sons of Anarchy' has become one of the highest rated shows on the FX network to date. Fortunately, Sutter has been hinting that a year or two after the show finishes up, he will do a prequel miniseries about how SAMCRO got its start.

Sutter has been rumored to say that this show will be all about 'The First 9' original members who started the 'Sons of Anarchy'. The show will take place after most of the members return from Vietnam. The show will center on John Teller who was the president of the motorcycle club and his wife Gemma, who is currently played by Katey Sagal, who is Sutter's wife in real life.

Kurt Sutter has also mentioned that he will release a manuscript about Jax Teller's life. The manuscript was written by John Teller and will be titled 'Life and Death of Sam Crow'.

Sutter has started on his next series 'The Bastard Executioner'. However, with the great popularity of 'Sons of Anarchy', FX will want Sutter to get going on the prequel series. As of right now, there may be anywhere from 10 to 16 episodes. If the show becomes as popular as 'Sons of Anarchy', who knows, Sutter could be turning the prequel miniseries into a full series.
