'Sons of Anarchy' actor Dimitri Diatchenko has been in the headlines for being accused of killing and eating his ex-girlfriend's pet rabbit. Diatchenko now faces counts of animal cruelty and animal threats according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

In a statement, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said "Diatchenko killed the rabbit and made the threat on Dec. 7, after the victim said they should no longer be roommates." Apparently, the former couple lived together for some time then finally broke it off.

It has been reported that allegedly, Diatchenko, while his ex-girlfriend was away from their house, killed, skinned, cooked and even ate half of the rabbit. The actor, according to the Prosecutors, sent photos to his ex-girlfriend showing the step-by-step process of what he did.

Right after that, Diatchenko was taken into custody and after posting a $50,000 bond, the actor was released the day after. The Police have currently launched their investigation to close the case and sentence of a maximum of four years and eight months in jail if the actor gets convicted.

Also, it has been stated that the Prosecutors plan to ask at his arraignment that his bail be set to increase at $90,000. Diatchenko, who is famous for playing a role of a Russian gangster on Season 4 of 'Sons of Anarchy' hasn't responded and commented on the recent incident.

The actor is also famous for portraying Yuri on an episode of the comedy series '2 Broke Girls'. Diatchenko also appeared on shows such as 'Bones', 'Burn Notice', 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody' and 'Walker, Texas Ranger', as well as the movies 'The Chernobyl Diaries' and 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'.
