Two of the most popular stars in Hollywood have finally done what we have all been waiting for. On Christmas Day, while Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were vacationing in Hawaii, Joe finally popped the question.

According to PEOPLE, Manganiello from the movie 'Magic Mike' had planned to propose over the vacation, but he was very nervous at the beginning of the trip. The couple had been together for six months as of December 25^th when the famous actor decided to propose.

Manganiello had admitted to having a crush on actress Sofia Vergara ever since they were first introduced to each other at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in May. At the time, Vergara was engaged to Nick Loeb, her current ex-fiancé.

"She's got the curves, she's got a beautiful face, beautiful hair, just gorgeous. Naturally beautiful. She's feisty!" Joe Manganiello told PEOPLE in an interview.

In July, the two started dating, and six months later the couple was headed to the soft and sandy beaches of Hawaii. The 42-year-old 'Modern Family' star believed that they had gone there to celebrate Manganiello's 38^th birthday over the trip.

On her Instagram account, Sofia posted: "Happy happybday to my love and best friend, to the one that makes me laugh like crazy! Have a wonderful year babe!!!" She added a photo of the couple snuggling up together.

In her most recent pictures, she is also depicted wearing Joe's diamond ring.

On Vergara's recent engagement, ex-fiancé Nick says that he is happy for the new couple. "She is beautiful and majestic and therefore to be loved," He told US, "Beyond all else in life she deserves happiness, the kind that only true love can bring."
