Snoop Dogg News: Rapper Stopped by Police at Airport in Italy for Carrying $422,000 in Cash

Apparently being really rich can cause a lot of headaches at times. Just like Snoop Dogg who was reportedly carrying with him some $422,000 cash in Italy on his way to England boarding a private plane and was stopped by authorities for having excessive cash which was apparently prohibited.

Snoop Dogg's cash were all stored in his Louis Vuitton luggage according to reports with Snoop Dogg's Italian lawyer confirming that the Italian Finance police stopped the 43-year-old rapper seizing a total of $205,933 from the total cash inside the luggage.

Apparently, European Union countries do not allow airline passengers to carry more than 10,000 Euros or about $11,000 in cash to be able to lessen money laundering criminal activities. Although according to Snoop Dogg's lawyer, Andrea Parisi, that the rapper would only have to pay a certain amount of fine.

But the catch is, the authorities will be taking hold of the money they have confiscated until such time when they could identify the fine that Snoop Dogg would have to pay. Meanwhile, the rapper's lawyer in defense of him stated that the cash were from Snoop Dogg's concert and won't be used for money laundering.

"We clarified everything from a legal point of view," Parisi told CNN. "The money came from concerts he had performed around Europe. There was no crime; it was just an administrative infraction," he added.

There are still no official statements coming from Snoop Dogg himself although he did post a selfie while in Italy posting it on his Instgram account writing the caption, "Italy." The photo was speculated by his fans and followers to be his way of announcing that he is just fine and that there might not be anything more serious that could happen as he waits for the authorities' remedy.
