Smokie Norful's 'No Greater Love' Wins Grammy for Best Gospel Song/Performance
Smokie Norful won his second Grammy Award for Best Gospel Song/Performance, which was awarded for his hit single "No Greater Love."
The gorgeous and impressive ballad, was co-written by Norful and Aaron Lindsey and is classic Smokie Norful. Compelling vocals, rich tone and beautiful musicality are all found on the song, which is an effective reminder of Noful's place as a top gospel artist. "No Greater Love," was the first single off of Norful's 2014 FOREVER YOURS album. FOREVER YOURS debuted on the Billboard Gospel Chart at Number 1 and the song peaked at Number 2 on Billboard 's Top Gospel singles chart.
In addition, Norful received four Stellar Award nominations this year including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year categories and his popular new album, FOREVER YOURS, was also nominated for Contemporary CD of the Year. He currently has a new single out, "I Need A Word," and continues to minister around the country and appear regularly on TBN.
Norful previously won a Grammy Award for his sophomore release NOTHING WITHOUT YOU in 2004 as well as a multiple Stellar, Dove and Image Awards. His gold-selling release I NEED YOU NOW helped Norful breakthrough, opening doors for him to minister worldwide and positioning him to be one of gospel music's significant artists.
Norful is the Sr. Pastor of Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Bolingbrook IL and continues to innovate and expand his ministry with the community.
