'Skyrim' Special Edition News & Rumors: Game Set For October Release Date And Enhanced Visuals
New details on the release date and features of Bethesda's "Skyrim: Special Edition"have surfaced. As per reports, these include visuals and prices.
"Skyrim: Special Edition" is assumed to be released on Oct. 28, Gotta Be Mobile has learned. As per the publication, players on the west coast of the United States will be able to begin playing the game's digital version on Oct. 27 at 9:00 p.m. Pacific time.
It is added that it is still vague if the game will have some betas or demos prior to its release; however, it is assumed that Bethesda will release new game details sometime before the game finally comes out.
When it comes to the game features, "Skyrim" Special Edition is rumored to have improved graphics. As per Gaming Bolt, it his highly feasible, since Bethesda's "Fallout 4" did run in 1080p on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Some enhanced visual details in the remastered version include the depth of field, water shaders, snow shaders, and screen-space reflections, as per reports.
With such gains in features, "Skyrim" Special Edition is set to lose the voice commands for Dragon Shouts. As per Bethesda head Pete Hines, as cited by Express, the studio was not doing Kinect or voice suppot, which means Xbox One owners with a Kinect unit would have to perform Dragon Shouts with the controller.
In terms of price, Amazon will sell "Skyrim" Special Edition to its Prime members at $47.00 and it is set to push through to those who are using a trial Amazon Prime account. Also, Best Buy grants 20 percent discount
Overall, "Skyrim: Special Edition" is set to come out for the PlayStation, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox One on Oct. 28.
