'Skyrim' Remastered Release Date, News: Bethesda Puts Effort On Next Title; DLC Not Happening?

Along with talks about efforts being put on Bethesda Softwork's "Skyrim Remastered," it is also revealed that the upcoming title is not set to have a follow-up content.

Bethesda Softwork's Vice President Pete Hines confirmed that the studio's forthcoming remastered game would not feature any downloadable content. On July 9, he responded to Twitter user Wade Bearden, who asked if "Skyrim" is set to have any new DLC. Hines wrote "no, comes with all the original DLCs, but no new content, DLC, or otherwise.

As per Segment Next, there are three possible reasons behind the absence of the DLC. The first reason is that Microsoft Windows users with copies of "Skyrim" are able to get a free upgrade. Another reason is that the creation kit for them might not be available before the game's release. Finally, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers are set to have a Mod support.

With the aforementioned reasons, it is assumed that Bethesda not releasing a new DLC is a logical move.

According to Gaming Bolt, Bethesda is pouring a huge amount of effort into "Skyrim Remastered," with talks circling the development of a Creation Kit for the new title available prior to the launch of the game itself. However, none has transpired at the moment.

With the said details, it is assumed that "Skyrim Remastered" is set to come first before the studio's "The Elder Scrolls 6," which was reportedly set in Argonia.

Hines has revealed that "Skyrim Remastered" is set to traverse a long way; thus, details on its exact release date are yet to be revealed.
