'Skyrim' Remaster Price News: Updated Game Priced At $60; VP Pete Hines Explains Why?
New details on the price of Bethesda Softwork's "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered" have surfaced.
"Skyrim" Remastered is priced at $60, as per Attack of the Fanboy. According to the publication, the said price seems to be disappointing to a certain extent, as it is assumed that remastered games have lesser price when compared to a full priced game title.
Some fans expressed their disagreement with the current price of Bethesda's remastered title. On July 14, Twitter user Vegas Volt (@VegasVolt3ya9a) wrote that a cynic knew the price, but not the value. He added that the value of the game version was polished graphics. With the tone of his tweet, it is unlikely that the Twitter would purchase the game at $60.
On the same date, Bethesda Public Relations and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines tweeted a response to Volt's post. He wrote that "Skyrim" Remastered was a full game with all DLC and mod support, along with upgraded graphics running on two new consoles.
"If you don't want that, don't buy it," Hines added.
According to Hines, the aforementioned title is also set to be available in all the same languages as the original game and it is set to land on the XBL and PlayStation Neo in the next few weeks.
In the tech and gaming realm, setting a higher price for older games are unusual, as per Gaming Bolt. However, the case might be different for "Skyrim" Remastered, as the game is reportedly overhauled.
Bethesda's "Skyrim" Remastered is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on Oct. 28.
