'Skyrim' Remaster News: Release Oct. 28 With Enhanced Graphics; Old Save Games Will Not Work?
Bethesda has announced that they will release a remastered version of Skyrim entitled "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition." The game is reported to have upgraded its specs to catch up with today's features.
According to Bit Bag, the remastered version of Skyrim will have many graphics improvements. The game will feature a better performance when it comes to details like textures and depth of field. The whole map will be more well-defined compared to the previous version.
Also, according to Game Rant, it is very unfortunate that Skyrim Legendary Edition won't have the option of transferring save game files to the new Skyrim Special Edition. Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines said that gamers won't be able to transfer their previous saves from their previous consoles.
The new consoles are very different from their predecessors and that's why it would be really hard to make the transfer. So even though gamers have invested a lot of their time and effort into the adventurist game, no matter how hard the developers try to have that feature in there, it would really be impossible.
"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" is reported to come out on October 28. The Special Edition will be available on the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" is an open world action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The game is published by Bethesda Softworks and is currently the fifth installment in the franchise. It was originally released in November, 2011.
