Christian rock band Skillet will be joining the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival on August 15 with Godsmack, Seether, and Buckcherry.

According to a press release, the 24 day tour will begin in Detroit, Michigan and end on September 21.

"We look forward to creating an incredible UPROAR experience for rock fans in every city we visit," said Uproar Festival producers John Oakes and John Reese in a press release.

At the moment Skillet is playing through a highly successful European tour that began on May 30, and has been through Denmark, Bulgaria, Italy, United Kingdom, Russia, and Germany.

Skillet drummer Jen Ledger was named in the eight greatest drumming performances at the Download Festival in the United Kingdom out of about 100 bands by Musicradar.com.

"A short but awesome set witnessed Jen's Dave Grohl-esque power behind the kit, particularly impressive as she sings a lot too - with no let up in her whole-body drumming style," Musicradar.com said of the performance. "We were particularly blown away by the even double-kick and flashes of tasty technique on display as the band played their hits "Hero' and "Monster' and tracks from new album RISE."
