Blumhouse Pictures presented a teaser trailer for the sequel to their critically acclaimed horror film, 'Sinister,' at this weekend's WonderCon. The teaser presents the first look at 'Sinister 2' and serves to prime viewers for the announced full trailer on April 9^th.

The first movie starred actor Ethan Hawke playing a role of a father that moves his family into a haunted house. Using recovered film footage, he uncovers the house's tragic past, all while trying to save his family.

Here's the synopsis for 'Sinister 2':

"The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in 'Sinister', a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of 'Wayward Pines') and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Buhguul continues to spread with frightening intensity."

'Sinister 2' is set for release on August 21^st.
