Singer-songwriter John Tibbs is announcing the release of his latest single, "Dear Hate." The new song was originally recorded and co-written by Grammy Award-winning country music star Maren Morris, and Tibbs decided there was no better time than now for him to record the song.

"The very first time I heard 'Dear Hate' it stopped me right in my tracks," shares Tibbs. "I knew I had to sing this song and share its message."

"For me, it speaks directly into the conflicts we find ourselves in today," he continues. "It's also a beautiful telling of where we have come from, and a timeless reminder that love will always be near us, to never give up hope. I'm so excited to share this song and I pray that it moves people just like it did me."

Accompanying Tibbs latest release is a new lyric video for the song which can be viewed at the end of this article.

Maren Morris originally wrote "Dear Hate" in 2015 with Tom Douglas and David Hodges, two days after a white supremacist gunman killed nine parishioners at a historic black church in downtown Charleston South Carolina. The song became known publicly after Morris officially released the song in a duet performance with Vince Gill.

Following the release of his 2012 debut album, Tibbs music continues to reach the masses. Garnering more than three million streams on Spotify alone, he has performed around the U.S., already logging 500 shows in the last three years.

"Dear Hate" can be downloaded or streamed everywhere now, with links to most popular digital service providers available here.
