'Silicon Valley' Season 4: Pied Piper Crew Set To Deal With Erlich?
The happiness of the Pied Piper crew in the season 3 finale may not last for long, as they still have Erlich to deal with in "Silicon Valley" season 4. This was revealed by Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Denish, to TV Line.
Erlich is described as "the most blowhard, pompous character" in the series that Richard and the others have to contend with in the upcoming season.
At the "Silicon Valley" San Diego Comic-Con panel, "Silicon Valley" executive producer said that the Pied Piper crew can't afford to win that easily, because "as soon as they become the winners, the show gets less interesting."
Executive producer Mike Judge added that it is more fun to watch the crew get uncomfortable and fail and be humiliated.
"They're funnier that way. If they become successful and live happily ever after it will be less fun to watch," he said.
Zach Woods, who plays Jared, revealed that despite the letdowns, the crew will still continue experiencing occasional victories.
"The show does a good job of having plausible triumphs," he said.
In the season 3 finale, Pied Piper was on the brink of a pivot to concentrate on being a video conferencing application. As Erlich and Big Head save the company from Hooli next season, viewers can expect to see more of Monica and Big Head in season 4.
Meanwhile, writers of the series remain mum on the real plans for the next season, primarily since things can still change.
"The way writing goes we try and make plans for the whole season but then things fall apart," says Judge.
