'Silicon Valley' Season 3 Finale Recap, Spoilers: Series Ends On A Satisfying Note?

With the Pied Piper guys back in Erlich Bachman's house and working for a startup, "Silicon Valley" season 3 sure ended on a satisfying note.

It wouldn't have ended that way if not for Bachman and Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti, who prevented Pied Piper from being turned over to the evil tech giant Hooli.

The episode opened with Gavin Belson telling his assistant to haul out the Hooli board. At the incubator, Richard told Jared that he knew about the click farm which he hired to boost up the number of Pied Piper platform users.

The most climactic part of the episode was when Erlich received an offer to sell Pied Piper for $6 million, all to Dinesh and Gilfoyle's delight. Dinesh told Richard that they own a flash drive that could make it impossible to differentiate them from other users.

Just when Richard and Erlich were about to collect their $6 million, Monica called him to tell him that Laurie would kill them if they sell Pied Piper without her knowing. In the signing room, Richard refused to sign. As the deal went off, Erlich got so exasperated and ultimately wanted nothing more to do with the other guy.

Meanwhile, Laurie informed Gavin that she would sell Pied Piper to the highest bidder. Wanting to be the one to "drive the final nail to Hendricks coffin," Gavin offered to buy Pied Piper for $1 million. Lauren then called the Pied Piper board to get a final vote for the sale.

Ultimately, Gavin won and a disappointed Richard acknowledged that the sale was already final.

"Silicon Valley" season 4 finale was directed by executive producer and showrunner Alec Berg.
