'Silent Hills' News, Rumors: Kojima Productions Logo Removed From Game

The state of the long awaited 'Silent Hills' game has been recently pulled into question with the omission of the Kojima Productions logo on the game's website.

There has been news on the game developer splitting with Konami, but it had been implied that he would at least finish the projects he's already working on. This title was currently being developed with Guillermo Del Toro and himself, along with 'Walking Dead' actor Norman Reedus attached.

When Gamespot reached out to Konami for an explanation, this was their response:

"Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn't be listed as a studio anymore. At this time, there are no additional updates to share."

This statement at least infers the continued development of the video game, but it is yet to be confirmed if Kojima is still attached.

"Silent Hills was originally revealed at Gamescom 2014 as horror game P.T. ('playable teaser'), which was launched as a free PlayStation 4 demo on the PlayStation Store with almost no explanation as to what it was. Kojima later said that he wanted to make Silent Hills so scary that it will 'make you s**t your pants'. He even joked at the time that the limited edition for Silent Hills would come with a fresh pair of pants," writes Gamespot.
